Waynesville High School

As an intervention specialist at Waynesville High School, where this year I wil be teaching a 9th grade English class and providing inclusion support in several subject areas.  I am also the sponsor for the Supportive Peer Program, offered to juniors and seniors who want to work with other students to provide inclusive educational opportunities; and the Student Council adviser.  More information can be found about each of these programs by clicking on the above tabs.

On a personal note, I hail from the Chicago area but have lived a split-shift in Ohio for 22 years.  I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, majoring in English from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale; a master's in Curriculum and Instruction from Walden University; and hold teacher's licenses in Special Education from the states of Ohio and Texas (where I lived for 16 years, teaching during eight of those).

My husband, Ray and I live in Maineville and are avid baseball fans; unfortunately, our favorite team is the Chicago Cubs.  I also enjoy gardening and spending as much time as I can with my children: Aaron and his wife Jenn and their two children: Avery, almost 3, and  1 year-old Nolan; Melissa and her husband Arin and nearly 3-year old son Rhett; and Adam, the executive sous chef at Wetherington Country Club in West Chester (if only he would cook for me!)

I love my life because each day I get to come to Waynesville and work with a wonderfully professional staff who have the best interest of all students at heart.  It is a great place for education, and I am blessed to be a part of this district.
